The LR-6 is a versatile all purpose 2.45 GHz RFID reader with a read-range up to 6 metres. The LR-6 is built around a standard
Linux operating system and has an open development platform. This enables integrators to quickly develop and implement new
applications for the LR-6 reader. A Software Development Kit will be available from TagMaster free of charge and will contain all the
necessary tools required by system developers. The reader can be configured and controlled via the Ethernet interface, either locally
or remotely via an Internet connection.
The LR-6 supports several standard interfaces including Ethernet (TCP/IP), RS232, RS485 and Wiegand/Mag-stripe. The reader
features several functions, such as the ability to select frequency hopping (FHSS**). This enables the reader to “hop” between
frequencies within a specified band, ensuring smooth operation in multi-reader environments. The reader is designed for future
expansion requirements and includes built-in USB Host interfaces, memory card slot and an expansion board interface. The LR-6
is backwards compatible with TagMaster’s existing reader hardware and software interfaces.
